I have been looking forward to this event for quite a few months, local and small businesses are my favourite and I love supporting them! This years event held so many hardworking and wonderful vendors, it really was inspiring to be more creative with my time. Etsy Made in Canada hosted pop-up markets in over 33 cities today consisting of crafters, collectors and artisans beautiful work. With Macy in the stroller it was so hard to maneuver through the busy crowd in Robson Square, but totally worth it. Luckily, it was beautiful weather today! Here are some photos and a bit about my favourite vendors today at the market…cant wait til next years event!
Jar Girl’s booth really amazed me, so neat to see all her different uses for mason jars! I absolutely adored the jar sippy cups with a cute crochet sleeve. Jar Girl first started with the idea of renting on mason jars, which is great for showers and weddings while being reasonably priced.
Loved this little setup they had, would be so cute for a baby shower and definitely was inspiring for Macy’s upcoming birthday party.
Tuk and Milo
This unique shop sells the cutest plush toys and the coolest pom pom mobiles and garlands. I have never seen a pom pom mobile and love the originality Tuk and Milo has! They also sell the ever trending woven wall hangings, which I am just dying to have in my home. Check out Justine’s beautiful contemporary pieces on her Etsy shop!
Coral and Cloud
Coral + Cloud creates modern, hand-made, hand-painted wooden bead necklaces and mobiles that are versatile and fun, and that add a pop of colour to any outfit or room! I am a huge fan that they use upcycled T-shirt fabric for the necklaces. For sure putting one of these necklaces on my Christmas wish list!
Noble Beeswax Candles
Compared to scented candles I actually love beeswax candles way more! There are no harmful chemicals in beeswax and Noble Beeswax Candles gets their beeswax within Canada to support local bee keepers, which is awesome. I bought Macy a number “1” candle for her birthday cake and drooled over all the candle options they offered at the market…from votives to ice cream cone shaped candles, I literally want it all! Check out their Etsy page, the candles make the cutest gifts, can’t wait to order some this holiday season.
Saige and Skye
The talent in these weavings and decor is so so beautiful. Woven wall hangings are one of my favourite home decor items right now. I am very excited to learn how to weave with a loom. Saige and Skye currently offer workshops so check out the website to learn what events & workshops are in the future. I started following Saige and Skye when it first was up and running and it has been so great seeing how its grown as a business and I am excited to see Saige and Skye bloom more.
Geometric jewelry is a big obsession of mine so I loved seeing this cute booth full of beautiful 3D printed jewelry. The stacked cuffed bracelets are such a simple but noticeable statement to any outfit. You can even custom order a 3D printed piece of jewellery . Lana Betty also uses high quality materials…even gold! Check out their website here.
