Everyday Style with Jord Watches

I love watches as an accessory and I love it even more when it’s a very unique watch. Today I’m sharing Devin’s look with a Jord Wood Watch. How cool are they?! I had never seen a wood watch before and these are beautiful. Handcrafted out of artisan wood and these watches come in a lovely wooden box which provides the perfect minimal aesthetic. We were also impressed that the watch was custom to Devin’s wrist size. Devin chose the Ebony and Gold wood watch because it can pretty much match any outfit whether casual or formal and it also isn’t too bulky. It has a super easy clasp and he can put it on in no time. I have never been a fan of huge flashy silver bulky watches so I am a huge fan of Jord.

If you are looking for a lightweight watch with a simple look then this watch is for you! You can even purchase personal engraving for your watch. Check out their collection of watches Here.

Here are some photos of Devin and his new watch. It compliments the new jacket I got him perfectly.

Thanks Jord for sponsoring this post. All opinions are honest and my own!

Dried Orange Christmas Garland

I love Christmas DIYs and ones that Macy can help me with too! She loved passing me the orange slices to string on and then would try to put her own snack of mandarin oranges on the string haha. She tries! My house now smells like lovely orange and yours can too with this easy garland DIY.

What You Need:

-2 large navel oranges

-1/2 cup of white sugar

-parchment paper and a baking sheet

Directions

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Top with orange slices in a single layer, and generously dust with sugar. Bake until the peels are dry and the flesh is translucent, about 2 1/2 -3 hours.

Once they are done just string them along some twine or baking string and hang on your wall. They also look pretty across a window and the sun shines through the oranges giving a stained glass effect. I will be making more to hang on the Christmas tree! Also if you embed a clove in the centre of each slice before you bake them that creates a lovely aroma as well.

I love getting an early start on Christmas it’s my fav season. Happy decorating!

Natural Everyday 5 Min Look with Vapour Beauty

When I can I try to buy things that are chemical free and use natural ingredients. Vapour Beauty is a line of natural cosmetics that are also super nourishing for your skin! I had the pleasure of getting the Aura Multi Use Stick ( in Cheeky), the Illusionist Concealer and the Stratus Soft Focus Skin Perfector. I’m sharing a little bit of my experience with these three products. It’s all I need for  getting ready for school plus my mascara. 5 mins and I’m out the door with a glowing face! Continue reading

Mommy and me costumes with value village

Halloween is almost two weeks away! I’m so excited to take Macy trick or treating this year and our new neighbourhood is full of so many houses. We came up with the unique idea of me being a Futuristic Spaca Mama and Macy is my little Martian. We have teamed up with Value Village to share our budget friendly look! I found Macy a fairy headband and just glued some eyes to the top for her alien headband – super cute! When the time comes I’m going to attempt to paint her face green and mine will be silver , Value Village had a great selection of Halloween makeup. I found a super cool silver leather jacket in their used section and shiny leggings and a galaxy headband in their Halloween section which includes lots of new products. They had a great selection of fake eyelashes as well and I found some crazy ones to use on Halloween. Macy’s costume was super easy and I found both her shirt and skirt in the used kids costume section- now we are just on the hunt for alien green leggings! I can’t wait to share how we look on Halloween.

Here’s a peak at our costumes!

Her facial features kill me!

Value Village had lots of Halloween lipsticks to choose from and I can’t decide between silver or bright purple!

Thank you Value Village for sponsoring this post. All opinions are honest and my own.

A day in our life with Nikon

As our weeks are super busy with school and work we hardly have time to snap pics let alone remember to charge our Nikon D5500 battery. Today we went for a drive to check out the prize homes for the BC children’s lottery ( swooning over these homes) and then went to Cresent Beach and hit up DQ for lunch , their cheeseburgers will forever be my weakness. It was a warm day for September but really I’m ready to say goodbye to summer I just love the fall season. Today marks one week of us being married and I can’t say the married life feels much different but we I’m so excited for what’s in the  future for us 🙂 We love going on walks and being active on the weekends but we haven’t so much this summer because of wedding planning, was great to get out today and here’s a little glimpse into our afternoon. I love using my Nikon during the day – it takes such crisp photos and catches the colors brilliantly so it makes editing my photos a piece of cake!

Somebody has been so grumpy lately and full of sass. Hello terrible twos!
