Visiting the Shuswap

Last weekend we had a mini getaway to Salmon Arm to visit some family + friends and to relax before we start to pack up our house for the move! Sadly there was a lot of downpour, but we made the best of it. We had yummy eats, a visit to Sunnybrae Bible Camp ( Devin and I have both worked there!), and even a late night swim at our hotel The Podollan Inn. Salmon arm is so beautiful in the spring and summer I will never stop loving Shuswap Lake. Some of my favorite places in Salmon Arm are Chestor’s House of Cinnamon, the Wharf, The Candy Vault, walking through the paths at Christmas Island and the world famous ice cream at the Co-Op! I really hope we can move to Salmon Arm when Macy and our future kids are older to raise them there. Being in the city makes me miss the small towns! We stayed in the Tuscany Suite at the Podollan Inn which was AMAZING.It was a super spacious suite and Macy loved running around and exploring. I hadn’t slept that good in ages and was nice to have a king bed. I really enjoyed the jet tub beside our bed and the view of the forest and pool oasis. Table 24 in our hotel has a delicious breakfast buffet in the AM where I wolfed down some pancakes. I so wish I had time during our stay to eat dinner at Table 24- the entrees are wonderful. Here are some photos I snapped of our visit with our new Nikon D5500.

Grumpy Macy right after a freak-out!

Snapped a few pics of the birthday boy- he just keeps getting more handsome with age haha.

Watching the rain fall. Good thing cable is included in the rooms! We did manage to get a night swim in…love the heated pool.

Cozy fire during the damp weather.

Getting ready for church with these two crazy bedheads.

The bedding and mattress was so cozy and comfortable…and makes my tan more noticeable! I so wish I could have great sleeps like that at home.

Monkey on the bed!

Thanks Podollan Inn for the stay. We will be back! All opinions are honest and my own. I highly recommend this hotel to all my readers travelling to Salmon Arm.
