DIY Frank Coffee Scrub

I am a huge fan of Frank body scrub, but I know it can get a little costly to use it as often as we all wish. I created this yummy smelling coffee scrub that will leave your skin feeling silky smooth. The caffeine in the coffee grounds is a great blood flow stimulant and helps battle cellulite, stretch marks, eczema, acne, and scarring. The sea salt in this scrub is great for sloughing away dry/flaky skin and reduces inflammation. You can use whatever oil you may wish in the scrub, but I found coconut oil to be the most beneficial (clears dirt and is a fantastic moisturizer) plus I love the smell! You can also add some other things such as Vitamin E oil, cinnamon, or cocoa powder (mocha smelling scrub!).

What you need:

½ cup of brown sugar

½ cup of rough sea salt

1 cup of (leftover or unused) coffee granules

Olive oil or coconut oil…or you may like to use essential oils. (Use enough so that the mixture clumps all together but is not liquid-like).

Instructions:

  1. Combine coffee grounds and sugar with a wooden spoon, making sure the mixture is clump free.

2. Add the sea salt and combine.

3. Add in the coconut oil just enough to coat the mixture, you don’t want your scrub to be runny!

4. Finally, spoon your scrub into a jar that can seal and go try it out. You can definitely make big batches with this recipe and make cute little jars of the scrub for Christmas gifts!
