Blog Feature// Creative Wife & Joyful Worker

I had the wonderful opportunity to feature Creative Wife & Joyful Worker here on the blog today. Codi Lynn is definitely a blogger inspiration of mine and I am excited to see what the future holds for her and her blog. Check out her newly revamped and relaunched website and give her a follow!

Hello! My name is Codi Lynn and I am the founder of Creative Wife & Joyful Worker.  I just celebrated my third anniversary with my husband and we have two kids, a son (6) and daughter (almost 2). When my daughter was six months old I decided to start a blog, with not really a direct focus, but knew that I wanted to share some of my passions. I started out sharing some maternity photos of my sister, then slowly started featuring more and more small businesses, with recipe posts and DIY projects mixed in between.

When I started my blog I knew that the platform I was on was only temporary and I never put much effort into the aesthetics of the brand. Recently, a month after Creative Wife & Joyful Worker turned one, I decided to self host and give the blog a whole new look. This week I am celebrating the new look by teaming up with some incredible shops that have supported me and helped me get to where I am today. I have strong relationships with many handmade shops by connecting through Instagram, it is crazy what a little app on your phone can do. With the support of my followers, being inspired by many and watching others succeed I constantly challenge myself to continue to grow and develop a brand that is true.

This past year I have also been working away at becoming a Graphic Designer.Going to school on evenings and weekends has been a challenge to find balance with family, work, school and blog but with the amazing support from my husband and family it has all been possible. I often get asked “How do you do it all?” and I always admit that I don’t, that it is a community of people around me that encourage and support me a long the way that allows me to complete that things that I can as well as relax when needed.
My love for design grows and my interest in fashion and home decor have increased immensely. I was so thrilled when Danielle asked me to share a summer outfit inspiration board, it was such a pleasure to create. I shopped around some of my favourite sites and put together a comfortable day and night outfit that I would love to have in my wardrobe. I love being comfortable, and when you can be comfortable and look good at the same time it really is a win win! Enjoy! blackChambrayGold_CreativeWifeandJoyfulWorker (1) (1)

It has been such a pleasure being featured here today, meeting new people is always a pleasure of mine and blogging has created so many connections and friendships that I wouldn’t have ever dreamed of. I have met people from across the globe and people almost literally in my backyard. If you are thinking about creating a blog, already have one, or don’t even care to start I want to encourage you when you are looking at someone else’s work to encourage them. If a compliment comes into your head, share it, because why wouldn’t you? This is something that I am doing right now and the response is phenomenal, just think about how you can change someones day with just a few words.
